Nora Kahn
General Counsel

Nora joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ as its general counsel in 2021. Originally from Memphis, Nora has lived and worked in Los Angeles since 2014 and began her career as a litigator at O'Melveny & Myers LLP, where she was a member of the firm’s colleges and universities practice and its labor and employment department. She also handled many pro bono matters, including related to veterans' and voting rights.

Nora was the first recipient of a joint Jurisdoctor and Master of Divinity from the University of Chicago and is trained in pastoral care as well as legal mediation. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Virginia (History/Religious Studies), and she clerked for the Honorable Andrew J. Guilford in the Central District of California.

As a member of the senior leadership team, Nora oversees the legal affairs of the College through advising, litigation management, and compliance initiatives. She provides legal guidance on a wide range of issues, including employment, contracts, internal and external investigations, Title IX, student and faculty affairs, governance, enterprise risk management, privacy, and intellectual property. Through continuous engagement with Â鶹ÊÓƵ stakeholders and confidential advising on discrete issues, Nora aims to make the law a little friendlier and more accessible to the community she serves.
