Chris Negri is a program coordinator for the Newman Catholic Center at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. In that role, he supports Catholic student programs on campus. Born in Los Angeles to an Italian Catholic family, Chris has spent his professional life in education. He taught high school Special Education for four years in Huntington Park, California. After leaving the classroom, he worked in philanthropy, community organizing, and development with the USC Shoah Foundation, Karam Foundation, and other organizations. Chris has Master’s degrees in Public Policy and Urban Planning from USC, an MA in Special Education from Loyola Marymount, and a BA in History from UC Riverside. He also holds a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute. In addition to his role at Occidental, he currently works as a program manager at Equality California Institute, overseeing education programs.
