CSEARS is a student-led group of cognitive science majors who are invested in creating and sustaining a critical, equitable, and inclusive Cognitive Science Department at Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
We are committed to empowering underrepresented students both in the department and academia at large—especially those who are BIPOC, first-gen, low-income, disabled, LGBTQ+, and transfers—and will hold the department accountable for their student support. Currently, our primary goal is to expand and make accessible networks and programs for academic, social, and professional development.
It is with these intentions that we aim for transparency, horizontality, reflexivity, and continuous collaboration with our peers, faculty, and staff. Please reach out to us if you have any questions, suggestions, concerns, or just want to say hello!
